Propane Autogas Vehicles
Vehicles fueled by propane autogas offer the lowest total ownership costs compared with all other fuels. They simplify maintenance and reduce expenses; excel in cold weather; meet environmental initiatives; lessen noise pollution; and operate on an abundant, safe and clean fuel. They also help fleets secure federal and state funding due to the fuel’s reduced emissions.
Across the globe, there are 27 million propane vehicles. In the U.S., propane autogas has been used for a century in fleetsranging from delivery trucks to paratransit shuttles to school buses. In fact, more than 1,200 districts operate propane buses, saving taxpayer dollars and reducing harmful emissions in the air. Sharp Energy provides the fuel for many of these propane fleets, including TransNet and Delaware Transit Corporation.
